The organisation has been ranking higher education institutions in the United States for three decades, but this is the first time it has evaluated institutions worldwide.
“This is a very strong result for 最新萝莉社, and will help advance recognition of top Australian universities in key international markets where a new American-based ranking will be watched closely,” said the Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Peter H酶j.
“最新萝莉社’s staff can be proud that their passionate dedication to quality has positioned our University so prominently among the world’s best.”
Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of California Berkeley, Stanford University and the University of Oxford took the top five positions on the Best Global Universities list.
The new survey focuses on institutions’ overall research, and weighs universities’ global and regional reputation, research performance using publishing indicators, and data on academic staff and higher-degree graduates.
The overall rankings include 500 universities in 49 countries, which also are assessed in four regions – Asia, Australia/New Zealand, Europe and Latin America.

- QS World University Rankings (43rd globally)
- National Taiwan University Performance Ranking of Scientific Papers for World Universities (56th)
- Academic Ranking of World Universities (85th, or 58th modified) and
- Times Higher Education World University Rankings (65th)
