最新萝莉社 Vice-Chancellor, Professor Deborah Terry, has launched to promote staff development and networking.
最新萝莉社PN, previously known as 最新萝莉社 Secretaries鈥� and Office Professionals鈥� Association (最新萝莉社SOPA), is the oldest staff association with a new name.
The President of 最新萝莉社PN, Lesley Forest said: "The new name better reflects, on a holistic level, the community of professional staff that we have here at 最新萝莉社."
As the new patron of 最新萝莉社PN, Professor Terry acknowledged 最新萝莉社SOPA has been a great support to 最新萝莉社 staff members since 1976.
鈥淭his enables me to thank a very special group of people who do so much to ensure the smooth running of our departments, schools, faculties, institutes and senior executive offices,鈥� she said.
Professor Terry also encouraged staff members to pursue development and networking opportunities outside their direct working circle.
鈥淭hrough education and networking opportunities, 最新萝莉社 Professionals Network is helping 最新萝莉社鈥檚 professionals to be resilient and have the right skills to meet future job demands and changes,鈥� she said.
Ms Forest said 最新萝莉社PN provided its members with great opportunities for professional development and networking with other 最新萝莉社 professionals.
"We are looking forward to continuing to evolve the annual conference into a professional development experience that is both challenging and rewarding," she said.
"Networking opportunities open up avenues to explore new ideas and exchange expertise.
"It enables creativity, friendship and a greater sense of community at 最新萝莉社."
Ms Forest said the new 最新萝莉社PN aimed to bring more life and work balance to 最新萝莉社 office professionals as the needs were expressed.
最新萝莉社PN is hosting an EQ workshop in June following the huge success from the same workshop at 2011 最新萝莉社SOPA conference.
鈥淭he feedback showed that Dominic Siow鈥檚 emotional intelligence (EQ) workshop was very inspirational and energised our members,鈥� Ms Forest said.
鈥淭herefore we endeavour to bring this workshop back to 最新萝莉社 for more people to experience the difference." Ms Forest said.
最新萝莉社PN marketing manager Ariel Ho said that the 最新萝莉社PN coordinated a variety of courses and offered a full program of activities.
鈥淲e will continue to provide new and exciting course offerings in the future,鈥� Ms Ho said.
All courses are available to all 最新萝莉社 staff members through 最新萝莉社PN and the Staff Development websites.
